Scrapbook Survivor - Week 2

Here is challenge #2 for the Scrapbook Swede DT Survivor Challange.

Link to Scrabooking Swede

Some moments we remember collectively as a local or global community—like when we heard the news that Princess Diana was gone or when we first saw images of planes crashing into the World Trade Centre. There are other more personal moments that we remember just as vividly. Both of these provide wonderful opportunities to paint a picture of who we are and where we came from.

So here’s the challenge: Think about some life-changing moments in your own life. Try to remember where you were when you first heard the news or saw pictures of the event. Using as many of the six senses as possible, describe in detail what you recall. Build a scrapbook page around your impressions. The result will be a snapshot of experiences that have shaped your life and the world around you.

Here is my entry... and I have made it to the next round.. SWEET!!

Scrapbook Survivor

Here is a Contest that I will be taking part in...

Scrapbooking Swede is proud to announce an exciting contest that will get your creative juices flowing and challenges to set your mind free...

Welcome to“Scrapbooking Swede Design Team Survivor”

To enter and participate in Scrapbooking Swede “DT Survivor” contest, you must upload one or two of your best 12 x 12 layouts and/or altered items into the “DT Survivor” section of the gallery, no later than midnight PST on August 10th. Your layouts and/or altered items must show your creativeness and style. They must be 12 x 12. Everyone who enters their layouts and/or altered items in the gallery by midnight PST on August 10th will automatically become one of the contestants. After you upload your 12 x 12 layouts and/or altered items, you must send an e-mail to angelique@scrapbookingswede.com listing your name, user name, layout and/or altered item titles. This information will be posted in a special section of the message board so everyone will get to know each other better and so we will also know who the participants are. On August 12th we will announce the first “DT Survivor” challenge. You will have one week to complete the challenge and upload it to the “DT Survivor” section of the gallery by midnight PST.Every week thereafter on Sunday ~ only the contestants, will be given the opportunity to vote someone out, in a protected forum that only they will have access to. Voting will only take place on Sunday and failure to cast your vote before midnight PST will result in the loss of your vote. The same day we will have the forum members vote on their favourite layout, and this might save you for one more week.

Depending on the number of contestants playing, this will determine how many get voted out each week, until we are down to the final 10. Once there are only 10 contestants remaining in the Contest, only one will be voted off per week. During the elimination process, I will ask 6 players who were voted off during the game to be our judges, and to announce who will become our “DT Survivor”.

Just like the series, there will be random challenges for immunity, which will give you a chance of not being voted out for the following week. We will announce the winner of all challenges during the contest. We will also be giving random challenges throughout the game for various prizes, so participation is extremely important. Any and all Challenge announcements will be posted on the board, so make sure you keep checking back. Failure to upload the challenge layout by the posted deadlines will result in disqualification.

The winner of the “DT Survivor” contest, as chosen by the jury, will be part of our new Design Team and will also receive a $50 gift certificate from Scrapbooking Swede.

Second place will receive a $35 gift certificate and a spot on the Design Team and
Third place will receive a $25 gift certificate and be part of the Design Team.

Good Luck everyone, and most of all, have FUN!
